That surreal feeling of watching World No. 1 Angelique Kerber live…Thanks USANA!

love-15, love-30, 15-30, 15-40, 30-40, deuce, advantage…These are not just the words and numbers for tennis fans but they are heartbeats that can miss and pace up-down when your favorite tennis players are on the court.

All credit goes to my parents who are ardent tennis fans, I have been watching tennis since childhood. They used to love Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Stephen Edberg and Boom Boom Baker…I was young so for me, whoever was more stylish, whoever was more handsome was supposed to be winning the match!

Later, when I started understanding the game, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles and then Williams sisters were the ones I was rooting for. When I watched tennis matches, I always thought to myself how incredible it must be to witness the magic of these players LIVE…Those well-maintained courts, players’ colorful costumes, applause and chanting of names by viewers…all seemed very exciting! Alas, never got that opportunity though.

But as they say, some dreams are meant to come true – sooner or later!! Thanks to USANA Singapore, it was really a pleasure to watch WTA Finals in Singapore Indoor Stadium. What’s more, I got the opportunity to do a backstage tour and to meet one of the tennis stars up, close and personal. Also, got to experience the hospitality of the Racquet Club ♥

I have personally tried USANA’s supplements and their MYSMARTSHAKE and must say they are the best! My husband loved the convinience and the nutrition that USANA provides to busy professionals.

USANA is very popular among sportspeople due to its high quality, science-based nutritional supplements. Champions choose USANA! The decade old partnership between the WTA and USANA has allowed its international athletes to stay in top form throughout their professional careers. These elite female tennis players use supplements and nutritional-packed products to stay in top shape all year round, ensuring longevity and success in their careers.

There currently are over 225 WTA players benefitting from USANA supplements. A cornerstone to the
successful relationship with the WTA is USANA’s “Athlete Guarantee”, where the company will
compensate WTA players for lost revenue up to $1 million should they test positive for a banned
substance due to taking USANA products. Wow, now that’s great!

Now who doesn’t know WTA? The WTA is the global leader in women’s professional sport with more than 2,500 players representing 92 nations competing for a record $137 million in prize money. The 2016 WTA competitive season includes 56 events and four Grand Slams in 33 countries. In 2015, The WTA was watched by 395 million
fans on television and digital channels around the world. The 2016 WTA competitive season concludes with the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global from October 23-30, 2016 and the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai, China from November 1-6, 2016.

All these awesome pieces of information and more were shared with us when we got to meet WTA President, Micky Lawler...I mean ya, seriously, it was indeed a big moment to meet and hear this elegant lady. In this video, she talked about why USANA is so trusted.

A big round of applause to Kristina MLADENOVIC of France. She is an expert doubles player. So down-to-earth and so hardworking. She readily obliged us with photos and autographs.

In the media room, they had kept the BNP Paribas WTA Finals trophy. Shining, biggg Billie Jean King trophy was right in front of our eyes so of course, one photo is a MUST.

This is the closest I can get to win the trophy for tennis 😂…BTW, This is the REAL trophy that winner of WTA finals will get! WTA finals happening 23-30th Oct at Singapore Indoor Stadium. . Lots of great initiatives happen during WTA…In 2014, the WTA and USANA came together to spearhead Aces for Humanity, a joint initiative that supports the USANA True Health Foundation, raising money to support the non-profit philanthropy. . At the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, WTA will unveil a cheque donation of $25,000. . #wtafinals #wtafinalssg #wtasingapore #wtasingapore2016 #usanasingapore #championschooseusana #rainbowdiaries #sglife #tennis #tennisfan #starstruck #sgparentbloggers #sporemombloggers #trophy #bnpparibas

Later, during the backstage tour, we saw how much of sweat and running around goes behind the scene to ensure that the match goes smoothly and players don’t get any difficulty. Salute! Also, look at these players practising day in and day out…

Time to have dinner before the match begins…We were ushered into Racquet Club of Singapore Sports Hub. I had visited Singapore Sports Hub for Sports Hub Play Day and have fun memories of the event.

Racquet Club’s hospitality is truly world-class and it’s VIP pass allowed us to enjoy ALL these facilities:

• VIP access to Racquet Club pavilion
• Gourmet dining experience
• Free flow of wine, beer and soft drinks
• Meet-and-greet with players and tennis legends*
• Premium, baseline seats during tennis matches
• VIP access to Aces Lounge – a private bar within Centre Court – with champagne and light snacks
• Complimentary parking+

Choicest of food was available and we ate to our heart’s content.

And the actual match was about to begin soon…I was so excited! All old memories were taking the form of reality. Loved the way Singapore Indoor Stadium looked that night – fully lit up, big – every sports fan’s dream come true ♥

The toss began. USANA’s Executive Vice President of Marketing, Asia, Ng Keng Hean was the one who tossed the coin. I was like OMG!!! World No. 1 Angelique Kerber was finally there and her opponent all of 21 years old Madison Keys too. ♥

Can you imagine the exhilaration of tennis lovers when they realized that Tennis Great Martina was in the stadium too. ♥

PA273962

What I was watching all these years on television was LIVE now. Serves, Aces, Faults, Double Faults, Backhand, Forehand, Volleys…Sheer Treat to eyes ♥

Angelique Kerber won the match eventually but Madison is player to watch out for. It would be interesting to see what heights this USANA ambassador reaches in a few years time.

After the match, we tasted some finest macarons by TWG and talked and talked about the whole event.

My memorabilia of  BNP Paribas WTA Finals, Singapore. Awww, isn’t that toss coin and racquet thumb drive so cute?!

What a lucky person you are and I envy you for that.

A friend of mine from USANA Philippines invited me also to watch a game in Manila, Philippines — But I am living here in Davao City, Philippines, so I decline her invitation, because it is too far from my place. Well the next time she will invite me again..I go for that! 🙂

You are so lucky and big-time to earn this invitation. Congratulations! I have had my chances to watch top notch tennis players (like Federer, Nadal, the Williams sisters) in action, but I had to travel out of the country and pay for those precious tickets. Worth it all!

You looked so happy! It can be a remarkable experience to be able to watch a game that you absolutely love. I like that USANA has a true commitment to the users of their products. There are so many products nowadays which we are not sure if they are reliable or not. The memorabilia are really cute too.

I’m not much of a tennis enthusiast although one of my good friends in high school was a tennis varsity player during our days. Still, what great opportunity you had there to meet some of the names in the sport up close and personal. Looks like you had a fun experience through this event.
